Job Description

The Analyst position offers a unique opportunity to work directly with our Separately Managed Accounts (SMA) Custom Equity investment teams. In this role, you will support the fronttoback investment lifecycle for bespoke equity portfolios, partnering closely with Portfolio Managers, Traders, and Technology.
You will be responsible for leveraging business intelligence, maintaining data integrity, and optimizing operational workflows that support custom equity portfolio construction, rebalancing, and ongoing management. The Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate implementation of investment decisions across the trading and portfolio management platform. This role reports to the Front Office Operations (FOO) Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Practice Execution

  • Deliver highquality operational support across FOO's five core pillars, with a focus on Custom Equity SMA portfolios and workflows.

Trade and Transaction Management

  • Execute accurate and timely equity trade entry, modeling, and posttrade validation in coordination with Portfolio Managers and Trading.

  • Support portfolio rebalances, taxaware trading, cash flows, restrictions, and corporate action processing.

Portfolio & Cash Monitoring

  • Monitor equity positions, cash balances, and constraints across SMA accounts to ensure alignment with investment guidelines and client mandates.

  • Identify and resolve breaks related to positions, cash, corporate actions, and trade lifecycle events.

Strategic Communication & Partnership

  • Partner closely with Portfolio Managers, Equity Trading, Technology, and Client Services to resolve complex operational issues.

  • Participate in automation and processimprovement efforts across the equity investment and trade lifecycle.

Global Reporting & Analysis

  • Produce, validate, and analyze portfoliolevel, accountlevel, and tradelevel reporting used by Front Office teams and stakeholders.

  • Support adhoc analytics related to portfolio construction, performance drivers, and operational efficiency.

Data Integrity & Reconciliation

  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies at the transaction, position, and security master levels across internal systems.

  • Ensure consistency of records between OMS, custodians, and downstream reporting platforms.

Business Intelligence & Visualization

  • Design and maintain reports, dashboards, and data models that support the evolving needs of Custom Equity PMs and Traders.

The experience you bring:

A college degree in Finance or Economics is preferred

Solid understanding of various asset classes (Fixed-Income, Equity)

Knowledge of investment business, buy-side processes, and investment products

Experience in front office applications is preferred (Aladdin, CRD, Bloomberg)

Aptitude for rapid adaptation to new systems/software

The salary range for this position in New York, New York is $95,000 - $105,000. The total compensation offered for this position includes salary and incentive pay and will vary based on skills, experience and location.
