Position Summary

The Senior Analyst Information Technology EHR - Epic Professional Billing (PB) is responsible for providing advanced tactical and operational support for the implementation, optimization, maintenance, and ongoing support of Enterprise Revenue Cycle IT systems. Assists and facilitates the design, implementation, optimization, change management, and issue resolution related to Epic Professional Billing and the financial and operational workflows it supports.

Requires experience working with Epic Professional Billing, Revenue Cycle applications, and physician billing workflows. Serves as a subject matter expert for professional billing operations, collaborating with Revenue Cycle, Patient Financial Services, Practice Operations, Clinical Operations, and Information Technology teams to improve billing efficiency, reimbursement outcomes, and system usability.

Essential Job Duties

  • Supports the Epic Professional Billing environment, including application functionality, integrated systems, interfaces, and operational workflows.
  • Provides analytical and application support for Epic Professional Billing, Charge Router, provider billing workflows, claims management, charge capture, reimbursement processes, and related software products.
  • Updates and maintains project plans and provides design, implementation, and support documentation.
  • Designs, configures, tests, implements, and supports enhancements within Epic Professional Billing and associated applications.
  • Analyzes proposed modifications or enhancements to determine operational, financial, and technical impacts on production systems.
  • Develops test plans, test scripts, test data, and testing schedules.
  • Conducts unit, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
  • Performs analysis of business and user needs and develops system solutions supporting professional billing operations.
  • Creates and maintains accurate documentation related to workflows, application configuration, and support processes.
  • Maintain a favorable work environment for all team members and clients.
  • Responsible for IS change control standards and procedures including successful release and communication of go lives.
  • Provides status reports and insights to departmental leadership in ad-hoc and weekly meetings.
  • Represents the department team in user meetings and perform project management duties as needed. Work with other departments to understand their needs.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.

This is a full time position, hybrid role.

Preferred Criteria

  • Degree or major in Computer Science
  • Epic Certification
  • ITIL Certification
  • PMP Certification
  • NYS Clinical licensure (Medical, Nursing, Pharmacy, or other relevant allied health professional)

Required Criteria

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Epic Module Certification obtained within six months of employment
  • Five to seven or more years of previous work related experience
