Job Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Design, integration, and release of electrical/electronic components software and architecture requirements for heavy and medium duty commercial truck vehicles.
  • Integrate and release management of embedded electronics software to support vehicle hardware integration.
  • Complete engineering change notice documentation to manage old and new software and use proprietary software to issue part bid requests.
  • Understand electronics engineering requirements specification and work with project management processes to maintain schedule, budget, scope, and functionality.
  • Plan and track verification and validation of components and fully integrated software solutions.
  • Support launch at truck assembly plants as needed and resolve field issues as identified.
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team with product definition, software developers, suppliers, mechanical engineers, manufacturing engineers, and other professionals to ensure quality delivery.
  • Demonstrated planning, budgeting, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated teamwork, mentoring, collaboration, and cross-functional communication skills.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent degree required.
  • Experience with tier 1 supplier management, selection, hardware/software development, validation, and release.
  • Embedded electronics integrated software on target technical requirement specification development and execution.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, lean, collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Good planning/tracking skills.
  • Competency with standard business software tools (word processing, spreadsheets, etc.).
