Clean Air Engineering is a leading engineering and consulting company.  We are currently seeking full\-time entry\-level engineers\/scientists interested in performing air emissions measurements and testing air quality at industrial sites.<\/span><\/span>

The primary role of a field scientist is to participate in air<\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/span>emissions test programs.  These programs are conducted at heavy industrial sites such as power plants, refineries, or paper mills.  The field scientist is responsible for learning EPA test methodologies and conducting these <\/span><\/span>field tests<\/span>.  When not in the field, the Field Scientist is responsible for equipment maintenance and calibrations, sample analysis, and data entry. Personal safety, d<\/span>ata quality, and ethical testing are of the highest priority.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

Field Scientists are expected to work safely and to provide quality data. The individual should be well\-motivated as they will be expected to learn safety procedures, EPA test methods, and equipment maintenance.  <\/span><\/span>

Secondarily, a field scientist should be good at problem solving, have basic analytical skills, and be competent using Microsoft Office products.<\/span><\/span>

The field scientist is expected to be available for travel greater than 50% of the time, including internationally<\/span><\/span>. <\/span><\/span><\/span>

There are physical requirements to field work such as stairs, ladders, lifting, and rigging which the individual must be capable of accomplishing.  A technical degree is not required but preference will be shown towards an Associate or Bachelor's degree in a technical field.  Relevant experience in air<\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/span>emissions testing, water sampling, or environmental consulting is a plus.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
