Job description

Job Description As key member of the Information Technology (IT) team, involved in all aspects of providing Epic training, coordination and operational delivery of the healthcare information technology for The Christ Hospital Health Network (TCHHN), this role works with the development, implementation and adoption of Epic for the Inpatient units of The Christ Hospital. The individual must be able to work autonomously while concurrently building technical and best practice process linkages to ensure TCH maintains leadership in Patient Safety, Quality, and Cost Effectiveness. Responsibilities Conduct general overviews of the system in front of various levels of the organization Provide general Epic inpatient training to incoming clinicians and IP department educator Responsible for IP generalist curriculum content (script) Coordinate appropriate level of training for each user/ super user Performs training for specific IP area (s) in conjunction with IP department superusers and educator Assists with scenario based training Ensure deliverables are approved by the appropriate Users QA sign off deliverables for your area(s) of responsibility Works closely with Team lead in designated area(s) Develop training plan for designated area(s) in conjunction with IP department educator Required to perform end user and super user training Assists with on/training issue Coordinates training documentation for all Epic module Customer Satisfaction and Continuous Improvement Maintains effective levels of communication between the organizational departments and IT for Epic training Demonstrates a professional attitude and ability to relate well with executive management, physicians, other care providers, patients, and others in the hospital community Proactively identifies improvement opportunities and implements solutions required to improve IT education Monitors customer satisfaction for IT services within the business and mitigates complaints about IT service quality Coordinates, with the IT executive team, the prioritization of available resources in order of business priorities.

Identifies opportunities for business and education process improvement after understanding key business processes and the impact that technology may have on these business processe Performs other duties as necessary or assigned by the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and IT Senior Management. Qualifications KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Please describe any specialized knowledge or skills, which are REQUIRED to perform the position duties. List any special education required for this position. EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in computer sciences, information systems, or related discipline, preferred. REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Working knowledge of clinical and ancillary functions including, but not limited to Results, Orders, Clinical Documentation, Barcoding and Med Charting, E-mar and Pharmacy, Scheduling, ADT, EMPI, Registration, HIM, Billing / Collections, Cardiology, Lab, Radiology, PACS, ICU, Oncology, and Surgery.

Epic experience strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to think outside the boundaries of IT and avoid a "technology for technology's sake" approach to strategy. Experience training all levels of users, including physician Appropriate certification in Epic applications (Clin Doc, Orders) or willingness to obtain certification within a recommended timeframe.
