The opportunity

Delaware North Gaming is hiring a General Manager to lead our team at Finger Lakes Gaming in Farmington, New York. As General Manager, you will serve as the senior on-site leader, responsible for overall property performance, guest experience, financial results, regulatory compliance, and team engagement. This role is ideal for a proven gaming or hospitality executive who excels in fast-paced environments and is passionate about operational excellence and people leadership.

Pay

Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $168,700 - $231,900 / year

In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. What will you do?
  • Provide direction in the operation of gaming, racing, and non-gaming departments.
  • Establish and administer procedures pertaining to profitability of operating areas, safety, employee relations, guest relations, internal controls, regulatory compliance, and the security of company funds and assets.
  • Direct, guide, counsel and instruct the day-to-day operations through assigned department leaders.
  • Develop and maintain employee culture, professional development, morale, and engagement.
  • Stay aware of competitive operations and recommend appropriate action in accordance with a sound marketing plan.
  • Monitor financial performance of all areas against planned performance, taking action to improve performance where necessary.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of gaming laws and regulations applicable to areas of responsibility.
  • Ensure that all assigned departments are staffed with team members who have the skills and aptitude to meet our standard of excellence.

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in casino management, including senior-level or property-wide responsibility
  • Demonstrated success managing complex operations with full P&L accountability
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, labor optimization, and capital planning
  • Deep understanding of gaming regulations, compliance, and operational best practices
  • Proven ability to lead large, diverse teams and develop future leaders
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and decision-making skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all required gaming licenses and certifications
