The Riverside County Office of Education (RCOE) is a service agency supporting the county's 23 school districts that serve nearly 430,000 students. RCOE provides administrative support to districts, leads programs for preschool, special education, pregnant minor, corrections, migrant, and vocational students, and offers professional training, support and resources for teachers, administrators, and staff throughout Riverside County.
Job Summary
The job of Teacher, Intellectually Disabled - Moderate is responsible for developing special education students' success in academics, interpersonal skills and activities of daily living by implementing district approved curriculum; documenting student progress/activities, outcomes; addressing students' specific needs as having moderate/severe disabilities in more than one area; providing a safe and optimal learning environment; and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc. The position may supervise related instructional aids/support staff and is under the general supervision of a site or regional administrator.
Requirements / Qualifications

• Credential Copy (California Moderate/Severe Education Specialist or equivalent Special Education teaching credential authorizing instruction in a moderate/severe disabled program)
• Letter of Introduction (Letter must be specific to the position for which you are applying)
• Letter(s) of Recommendation (Two (2) Letters of Recommendation are required and must be signed by the author. The signature block must include the author's name and title/relationship to the applicant. Letters must be dated within the last 2 years prior to the recruitment closing date. Letters without author's signature, name and title/relationship to the applicant and letters without a date or dated more than 2 years prior to the recruitment closing date will not be accepted. One letter from a supervisor is preferred.)
