Job description

Power Plant Operator
Plant Operations
The Power Plant Operator will:
  • Operate high pressure boilers and a variety of power plant equipment such as CHP, generators, fuel systems and air compressors
  • Perform preventative maintenance, maintaining all operating logs, assisting during emergencies such as snow, fire, flood, and power loss

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be able to read, write and perform simple arithmetic calculations.
  • Must possess a comprehensive understanding of power plant equipment and operations, normally required with 3-5 years of on-the-job experience.
  • Must possess a current NJ Blue Seal Stationary Engineer's license.
  • Environment exposes operator to varying temperature conditions and high noise levels.
  • Environment exposes operator to electrical, mechanical and temperature hazards.
  • Valid and in good standing driver's license issued by the state of New Jersey preferred due to the possibility of driving a facility vehicle to our various locations.

Salary Range: 25.97 - 41.56 USD
We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.
The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
