Job description

The Farm Equipment Mechanic II will be responsible for repairing and maintaining our equipment fleet, including but not limited to tractors and other farming equipment. Typical work hours are Monday - Friday 7 am to 4ย pm with some opportunities to work additional hours/weekends. This is a full-time, benefits eligible positionย including 401K, vacation, sick, holiday pay, health and welfare benefits and so much more.ย ย ย 
Duda Ranches a division of A Duda & Sons, Inc., aย diversified land management company is currently seeking an experienced Mechanic for its Sod/Cattle Farm located at ourย Viera/Melbourne location.ย Starting out as a humble celery farm in 1926, DUDAโ€™s business operations today include Duda Farm Fresh Foods, one of the worldโ€™s leading producers and suppliers of celery and other quality fresh and fresh-cut vegetables and citrus; The Viera Company, a highly regarded community developer with fully-integrated real estate operations including Viera Builders, a residential home builder; as well as Duda Ranches, manager of DUDAโ€™s agricultural operations including sod, sugarcane, citrus and cattle.ย ย 
Ideal candidates will have the following knowledge/qualities.ย 
  • Diesel and hydraulics knowledge
  • Electrical knowledge
  • Small engine knowledge
  • Welding and Fabrications experience
  • Perform the same tasks as Mechanic I, along with tasks that require more skill, such as electrical repairs, diagnosing motor issues, diagnosing wiring issues.
  • Ability to respond to field to diagnose equipment when needed
  • Complete work orders daily.
  • Valid driverโ€™s license and some local travel will be required
  • Location: No travel required, all work will be performed at the Cocoa Ranch Shop and at the field when necessary.
  • Must have their own tools.
Must have a minimum of 2-3 years of farm equipment experience preferred.
