Job Summary:

Responsible for safely operating vehicles for special routes and trips. Ensure that the vehicle is in good operating condition at all times. Pick up and drop off students as per the schedule, and obey all laws, regulations and rules of conduct.

Operate a vehicle safely and follow applicable laws

Pick up and deliver students as per a set schedule, including students who cannot ride the regular school bus; special education students; and for field trips

Ensure students are aware of rules and responsibilities as passengers

Work effectively with students of different grade levels, abilities or program placement

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma and/or equivalent; and/or any satisfactory combination of experience and training which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the above described duties.

Valid Minnesota driver's license (Class D) and acceptable driving record to for insurability by the District's insurance carrier

Meet statutory motor vehicle check

Ability to pass a federally mandated drug/alcohol screen

Ability to pass a criminal history background check

Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) Physical

Successfully complete school driver training programs and courses established by the state or school district

First Aid and CPR Certification and/or the ability to obtain.

License/Certification:

Current Minnesota Class D or greater Drivers License required

Schedule: Up to 40 hrs per week/ Monday - Friday

Shift availability: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From $21.42 per hour
