Video Storytelling Lead

Alpaca Health

New York, NY • On-site

Full-time

Medical, PTO

This job post has expired today. Applications are no longer accepted.

Job description

📌 About Alpaca Health

Alpaca Health enables clinicians to become entrepreneurs, starting in autism care.

We help clinicians launch and scale their own clinics by providing AI-powered software, payer contracting, and full back-office infrastructure. Our goal is simple: shift power in healthcare away from large consolidated entities and back to clinicians.

We've raised over $14M in funding from early-stage investors like Core Innovation Capital, Adverb Ventures, and South Park Commons, and are building for long-term category leadership. More importantly, we're serving hundreds of patients, while growing 30% MoM.

This role is full-time. We prefer candidates based in NYC or open to relocating who are open to 5 days a week in the office. We are also open to remote candidates.

🎯 Role: Video Storytelling Lead

Build and scale Alpaca Health's video storytelling engine.

You will be responsible for creating the stories that define how providers, families, partners, and future employees understand Alpaca. Through short-form social content, long-form documentaries, customer stories, founder content, webinars, and educational programming, you will help build one of the most trusted and recognizable brands in healthcare.

Success means Alpaca becomes known not because of advertising, but because of the stories we tell and the people who share them.

🚧 What You’ll Do

Story Development

  • Identify and develop compelling stories across providers, families, employees, and partners.

  • Turn complex topics into narratives that are clear, memorable, and emotionally engaging.

  • Build a repeatable process for sourcing, developing, and producing stories at scale.

  • Partner closely with leadership to define and evolve Alpaca's narrative.

Short-Form Video

  • Own Alpaca's short-form video strategy across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.

  • Develop concepts, scripts, interview formats, and recurring content series.

  • Work with editors to produce content optimized for attention, retention, and sharing.

  • Continuously test and refine creative formats based on performance.

Long-Form Video

  • Produce customer stories, founder stories, provider spotlights, documentaries, and educational content.

  • Conduct interviews and capture footage in the field.

  • Shape narratives from raw footage into compelling long-form stories.

  • Build a library of evergreen content that compounds over time.

🧠 Who You Are

You've built audiences through storytelling.
You've created content that people actually watch, share, and remember. You understand how to find compelling stories, package them effectively, and distribute them across modern platforms.

You're equally comfortable behind the camera and in the edit.
You can direct interviews, coach talent, shape narratives, and work closely with editors to bring stories to life. You're willing to do whatever is needed to make the final product exceptional.

You understand what makes people care.
You know how to transform a founder's idea, a customer's experience, or a complex business concept into content that creates emotional connection and drives action.

You are an exceptional video storyteller.
You have deep expertise across short-form and long-form video. Whether it's a 30-second social clip, a founder documentary, a customer story, or a webinar, you know how to structure narratives that hold attention from start to finish.

You have high standards for creative work.
You have strong instincts for pacing, editing, framing, hooks, and storytelling. You know what great looks like and push until the work reaches that standard.

You are relentlessly hard-working.
Great stories aren't created between 9 and 5. You're willing to travel, film, edit, iterate, and do the extra work required to create content that stands out in a crowded world.

🚀 Why Join
  • Direct exposure to company-building at an early stage.

  • Real ownership of critical initiatives from day one.

  • The opportunity to materially impact families and clinicians.

  • A fast learning curve that few roles can match.

  • Strong compensation package
