Doane University's Division of Institutional Advancement is looking for a customer-focused individual to join the team as a Gift Entry & Advancement Data Specialist. In this role, you are responsible for the accurate processing, acknowledgment, and reporting of charitable contributions to Doane University. This position ensures gifts are recorded in accordance with donor intent, University gift acceptance policies, and IRS regulations, while providing essential operational support for advancement data integrity, reporting, and donor stewardship.
This role executes established workflows to support the data quality and reporting needs of the Office of Institutional Advancement. The Specialist prepares routine and ad hoc reports and maintains accurate donor and gift records to support fundraising, engagement, and stewardship efforts. This position is responsible for communicating gift income information to the business office for proper accounting.

FLSA Hourly (Non-exempt) Salary Hourly rate ranges from $19.23 - $20.67 based on qualifications and experience Minimum Required Qualifications
Requires an Associate's degree; however, we will consider relevant experience in place of the degree. You must also have experience working with databases or customer relationship management systems.
Your experience must demonstrate:
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Word) and Google Workspace.
  • Ability to learn new technologies and processes.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to customer service, confidentiality, and teamwork.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a higher education or nonprofit environment with data entry, reporting, gift processing, or administrative support is preferred.
