EPS Corporation is seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to support operations for the U.S. Navy and Department of Defense in Panama City, Florida. Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems and equipment supporting Navy/DoD operations
- Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections on machinery and mechanical components
- Troubleshoot mechanical failures and recommend corrective actions
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering documentation
- Assist engineers with system testing, integration, and evaluation efforts
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively
- Document maintenance activities, test results, and system performance
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality standards
- Support field operations, including occasional travel and on-site support as required
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (Technical certification or Associate degree preferred)
- 2-5+ years of mechanical technician experience (military or defense experience a plus)
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Hands-on experience with tools, calibration, and testing equipment
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- U.S. Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting the U.S. Navy or DoD programs
- Familiarity with maritime, diving, or expeditionary systems
- Experience with corrosion control and maintenance in marine environments
- OSHA safety training or similar certifications
- Active DoD Security Clearance
