Job description

UI/UX Designer

Partial remote Dorchester, MA 6 months contract

Location: Remote until client starts their return-to-office initiative. 3 days remote, 2 days in the office for this team (CPK location)

Duration: Ideally would like to convert the worker to a full-time hire at the end of the contract

Responsibilities

  • Iterate on digital sales and online & mobile banking designs through user-centered and data-driven feedback and findings
  • Collaborate with researchers and product managers to understand existing customer pain points and provide recommendations to remediate
  • Collaborate with designers, researchers, developers, and product managers to proactively identify potential new value/features to bring to our customers
  • Evaluate the competitive landscape (direct and indirect) to understand opportunities for improvements or new features
  • Facilitate design & research workshops that inspire user-centered problem solving
  • Assist junior UX team members and UX interns
  • Perform additional administrative functions as needed

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in user experience
  • 2+ years of direct experience in conversational design and writing for virtual assistants or chatbots in English
  • Ability to communicate well through oral and written communications and actively collaborate with others
  • Ability to meet deadlines and provide critical analysis
  • Ability to present work to stakeholders
  • Ability to communicate your design rationale to technical and business stakeholders
  • Expertise with design tools such as Sketch or Figma
  • Expertise in adhering to UI design best practices
  • Very familiar with usability testing methodologies and agile processes
  • Very familiar with the Apple Human Interface Guidelines and Google Material Design Guidelines
  • Familiar with how design translates to code
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • A portfolio that showcases your design process and examples of your work is desired
  • English skills will need to be advanced native proficiency – this position will be extensively writing English conversational dialogs that must not have spelling mistakes or grammatical errors. The writing must also be aligned to our voice and tone guidelines (will be provided)
  • Nice-to-have: 4+ years of designing conversational dialogs for virtual assistants or chatbots
  • Experience scripting conversational dialogs directly into Google Dialogflow or similar tools
  • Spanish – not required – but it would be a plus since they would be working with team members in Spain and Mexico
