Description
We're looking for a full-time Dental Assistant to join our dental family.
At Sandia View Family Dental, you will partner directly with our doctor to deliver top-tier restorative and implant care while building meaningful, trust-based relationships with our patients.
Your clinical skill and positive attitude will drive the seamless, compassionate patient experiences our practice is known for. This role is vital to our mission of providing an excellent patient experience while combining high-level modern dentistry with a warm, values-driven community culture-and we compensate top talent accordingly.
Responsibilities
• Assist dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
• Take dental X-rays and CBCT scans while adhering to safety protocols and HIPAA.
• Perform dental laboratory work using CEREC, digital scanners, and SprintRay 3D printing technology.
• Build trust and rapport with patients through compassion, kindness, and exceptional chairside care.
Qualifications
• Minimum of 1 year of dental assisting experience
• Experience in a dental clinic or clinical setting preferred; experience in general dentistry is a plus
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures
• Ability to effectively communicate with dentists, dental team members, and patients
• Experience with dental imaging, X-rays, and/or CBCT preferred
• Experience with digital dentistry, including CEREC, intraoral scanning, and digital workflows, is highly desirable
• Familiarity with treatment planning and dental coding within a practice management system
