Job description

Safety Worxs is seeking a Spanish-English bilingual Administrative Assistant to support a busy badging and access control office on a large construction project in Taylor, TX.
We're looking for someone early in their career who is sharp, resourceful, dependable, and eager to learn. Seeing candidates who take pride in their work, communicates well, works with a sense of urgency, and problem solver.
This is a 100% on-site position and is ideal for someone who enjoys being in an office, interacting with people throughout the day, and being part of a fast-moving team.
Typical hours fall between 6:00 AM-6:00 PM, including a one-hour unpaid lunch. Most days consist of 8 working hours; 1-2 days per week may require an additional 1-2 hours of overtime.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors with site badging and access needs.
  • Issue, renew, activate, and deactivate site access badges.
  • Verify required documentation and training before badge issuance.
  • Maintain accurate information within the badging system.
  • Track badge expirations, renewals, and access changes.
  • Help resolve badge and access issues quickly and professionally.
  • Maintain organized digital and physical records.
  • Handle lost, damaged, or stolen badge requests and related documentation.
  • Prepare reports and track information using Microsoft Excel.
  • Communicate with HR, Safety, Client Security, field personnel, and management.
  • Maintain badging supplies and help keep the office organized and operational.
  • Research questions, troubleshoot issues, and take initiative to find solutions.
  • Identify ways to make everyday processes more organized and efficient.
  • Manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and a sense of urgency.

Qualifications:
  • Fluent in English and Spanish required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Approximately 1-5 years of professional work experience; customer service, administrative, retail, hospitality, office, or similar experience welcomed.
  • Comfortable using computers and learning new systems.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Resourceful and willing to research or troubleshoot unfamiliar issues.
  • Able to prioritize and respond quickly when something needs attention.
