Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, or a related field
• Three years of professional-level experience in analytics, decision support, report writing, and program development in public or private industry; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Strong proficiency with analytic tools and software, such as Excel (spreadsheet software), Python or R (programming languages), SQL (query languages), PowerBI or Tableau (data visualization tools), and ArcGIS (mapping tools)
• Ability to learn new technologies and assess emerging tools to recommend solutions
• Skill in analyzing complex problems and providing clear, actionable solutions
• Excellent research skills with the ability to gather, analyze, and present relevant data through recommendations, summaries, reports and presentations
• Strong technical writing skills with attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database applications

Who We Are
Chesterfield Public Library is seeking a full-time Senior Administrative Analyst to join our team of innovative, forward-thinking professionals dedicated to delivering engaging information services to a vibrant and appreciative community.
Duties
• Perform complex work in strategic, technical, financial, and performance-management areas
• Manage systemwide data and analytics, providing decision support and reporting to library leadership
• Develop and maintain data capture infrastructure across branches and departments
• Identify, collect, store, manage, analyze, and deploy data critical to internal operations and external reporting
• Create tools and reporting mechanisms that support strategic planning, performance evaluation, staffing decisions, budget analysis, collection management, community services, outreach, marketing, and program development
• Build high-quality tools, dashboards, and reports that highlight trends and insights
• Present analytic findings in dynamic formats and help leaders and staff understand and apply these measures
• Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess progress at the department, branch, and system level
• Provide confidential research and analysis support to leadership, teams, and committees
• Perform other work as required
This position is a part of an approved Career Development Plan (CDP) and offers career progression opportunities and salary incentives, as funding permits, based on performance, qualifications, and experience.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard, reach, stoop, kneel to install computer equipment; specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work; light to moderate lifting is required; and, regular, predictable attendance is required. Moderate noise (i.e., business office with computers, phones, printers, and light traffic); ability to work in a confined area; and the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period.
