To be appointed to Data Analyst 1 (SG-18), you must have:
• A bachelor's degree in Data or Computer Science, Informatics, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field AND two (2) year of experience in Data Visualization, and Statistical Models and Data Mining tools.
OR
• A master's degree in Data or Computer Science, Informatics, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field AND one (1) year of experience in Data Visualization, and Statistical Models and Data Mining tools.
OR
• A Ph.D. in Data or Computer Science, Informatics, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications/Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Proficient at conducting data processing, data formatting, and data analysis.
- Have computer programming experience (e.g., R, Python, Java, C++).
- Strong critical thinking and professional judgement.
- Strong analytical thinker with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently as well as collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
Traineeship Salary Information:The position may be filled at the Data Analyst Trainee 1 equated to SG-14 ($53,764), Data Analyst Trainee 2 equated to SG-16 ($59,994), or full performance Data Analyst 1 SG-18 ($66,951) based on the candidate's education, experience, and previous state service. Salary is nonnegotiable.
Candidates hired at the trainee level will be advanced to the full performance Data Analyst 1 SG-18 following successful completion of the traineeship.
