Job description

Job Summary:
The University of Arkansas is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Analyst with IT Business Systems Analyst responsibilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing data and creating visualizations to support decision-making processes, ensuring data integrity and security while collaborating with various departments.
Responsibilities:
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to Transit and Parking operations.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to provide insights into key performance indicators.
• Perform analysis using various techniques to identify patterns in data.
• Make critical observations and provide data interpretation to assist in the development of reports and recommend strategies and plans.
• Collaborate with various departments to understand data needs and provide actionable recommendations.
• Ensure data integrity and security by following best practices and university policies.
• Provide training and support to staff on the use of data analysis tools and software systems.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in data analysis
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Excel, and data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) as evidenced by application materials
• Experience with basic IT software maintenance and troubleshooting
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred:
• Master's degree in a related field
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R
• Experience with Transit and Parking operations
• Internship or project experience in data analysis or IT software maintenance
• Proof of Veteran Status
