Description
The parts delivery driver takes vehicle or machine parts to or from commercial clients with limited inventory. The parts driver will gather parts to fulfill orders and load them into the delivery car, van, or truck; then unload parts at the shop or client location.
Requirements
  • Loading, transporting, and delivering items to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner
  • Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied
  • Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles
  • Accepting payments for delivered items
  • Providing excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from clients
  • Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules
  • Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record.
  • Preparing reports and other documents relating to deliveries
  • Operating equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc
  • Become proficient in our ERP system for warehouse and inventory management
  • Assists in over-the-counter orders when needed.
  • Assists in maintaining a neat and orderly warehouse
  • Assists in creating and receiving Purchase Orders and responsible for keeping track of those invoices
  • Assists in maintenance of bin locations and part numbers
  • Assists in making inventory adjustments as needed to keep inventory accurate while also informing the Director of Inventory.
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Education/Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license issued by the state

PREFERRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
  • Clean Driving Record
  • Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws
  • Strong time management and customer service skills
  • Ability to walk, drive, lift, and carry heavy items (up to 50lbs) for extended periods
  • Attention to detail
