Job Description Legal Assistant Downtown Toronto Close to Union Station Currently working remotely Our client, a downtown law firm with an exceptional reputation for the work they do and the firm culture, is looking for a hardworking Legal Administrative Assistant with Corporate experience. The role will be working alongside a legal assistant supporting a lawyer who works primarily in the areas of insolvency and corporate/commercial law, focusing on reorganizations, restructurings and liquidations with emphasis in the areas of secured financing, creditors' rights, bankruptcy and insolvency. The right candidate will be a self-motivated individual who enjoys being busy and working on a team.

Organization and a high attention to detail is required in this role. Responsibilities: Compile Record Books Communicate professionally with all internal and external clients Proofread and check documents Diarize and monitor deadlines for multiple files to ensure tasks are completed Ensure filing is done accurately and on a timely manner Enter lawyers dockets are accurately and consistently entered Produce the highest quality of work Handle a high volume of daily administrative tasks Manage duties related to accounting Accountable for all work assigned Arrange meetings Calendar management Takes initiative Confidential Requirements: Minimum of 2 years' previous experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant in Financial Services or Corporate Law Successful completion of a related post-secondary Legal Assistant or Law Clerk program Knowledge of Workshare Compare or a similar document comparison program Overtime, as required Handle time pressure situations and stress of multiple demands Skills: Microsoft 365 suite of applications Familiarity with iManage and DocuSign Ability to problem solve Good judgement and decision making Strong interpersonal skills Interested candidates should apply.
