Trademark & Copyright Paralegal to support a dynamic intellectual property team. This role offers a strong mix of
hands-on trademark work, client interaction, and long-term career growth within a collaborative, supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage U.S. and international trademark filings, including applications, renewals, and maintenance
- Prepare and assist with USPTO, WIPO, and foreign associate filings
- Conduct trademark searches and draft search reports
- Support TTAB matters, including oppositions and cancellations
- Assist with copyright applications
- Coordinate and maintain trademark docketing systems and deadlines
- Prepare client communications, filings, and legal documentation
- Support due diligence efforts, including trademark portfolio review and chain of title analysis
- Collaborate closely with attorneys and cross-functional teams on active matters
Must-Have Qualifications- 5+ years of trademark and copyright experience
- Strong knowledge of USPTO systems (TEAS, Trademark Center, Assignment Center)
- Experience with WIPO Madrid Protocol filings
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Demonstrated career stability; candidates with role changes should be able to clearly explain transitions
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in a law firm or professional services environment
- Familiarity with docketing systems (e.g., Foundation IP)
- Paralegal certificate and/or college degree
Work Environment & Schedule- Hybrid schedule: onsite full-time for the first 60 days, then 2 remote days/week (based on performance)
- Standard hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (Monday-Friday)
- Occasional overtime as needed
Compensation & BenefitsWashington Pay Transparency:- Salary range: $73,000 - $123,000 annually
- Final compensation is determined based on experience, skills, education, and market factors
Bonus:- Eligible for a discretionary year-end bonus based on individual and firm performance
