Job Description

The Instructor Pilot is responsible for delivering highquality flight simulator and ground school training in accordance with applicable regulatory agency requirements, CAEapproved curricula, and customer standards. Acting as a subject matter expert (SME), the Instructor Pilot leads clients through their training experience while ensuring professionalism, safety, and instructional excellence.

After approximately 1.5 years, and based on business needs, designated instructors are expected to qualify as a Training Center Evaluator (TCE) and customer contract check airman.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver simulator and classroom instruction on assigned aircraft types for licenses, type ratings, certificates, and pilot qualifications.

  • Conduct thorough and professional pre and postflight simulator briefings in accordance with CAE standards.

  • Maintain accurate training records, track instructional qualifications, and recommend remedial training when required.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in the development and maintenance of curricula and courseware when needed.

  • Provide a professional, welcoming learning environment while delivering consistent, customerfocused training.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Hold, or meet qualifications to obtain, an unrestricted ATP certificate and a minimum of one unrestricted PIC type rating.

  • Strong passion for teaching with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and other internetbased applications.

  • Must participate in CAE's DOT Drug & Alcohol testing program.

  • Must be authorized to live and work in the United States.

Physical Requirements
  • Physical dexterity to perform tasks requiring handeye coordination and fine motor skills.

  • Ability to sit in a confined space for 4-6 hours at a time with limited breaks.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 10 hours) with limited breaks.

  • Ability to sit, stoop, climb, twist, and turn as required for simulator instruction.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience flying business aircraft and single pilot.

  • Prior instructional or training experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to tailor instruction to a diverse, global customer base.

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records in compliance with CAE and FAA requirements.
