Description
LandVest is hiring a Real Estate Broker to support our Land Investments team in Texas. In this client-facing role, you will market and broker high-quality rural and recreational properties, manage listings from onboarding through closing, and help grow LandVest's presence through relationship-based business development.
What you'll do:
  • Lead marketing and brokerage assignments for ranchland, timberland, agricultural, and recreational properties across Texas.
  • Prepare offering and listing materials with support from LandVest's in-house GIS/cartography, marketing, and analytics resources.
  • Conduct property tours and site visits; deliver responsive, professional client communication.
  • Support negotiations and coordinate transaction and closing logistics with internal and external partners.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with landowners and advisors to generate new assignments and referrals.

Requirements
What we're looking for:
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in land brokerage, agriculture/ranch operations, forestry, or similar field-based natural resource work.
  • Active (or obtainable) Texas real estate broker's license.
  • Strong writing, organization, and client-service skills.
  • Willingness to travel frequently throughout Texas for fieldwork and tours.
  • Located in (or willing to relocate to) the service region.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel frequently throughout Texas.
  • Ability to work outdoors on uneven terrain and in varied weather conditions for site visits.

Preferred qualifications
  • Demonstrated transaction experience with rural land, ranchland, timberland, conservation, or institutional ownership.
  • Working knowledge of Texas land markets, water considerations, and rural land management practices.
  • Experience with GIS or mapping tools and the ability to interpret survey, title, and resource data.
  • Established professional network in Texas and/or adjacent markets.

Compensation
This is a 1099 independent contractor position compensated solely through commissions on real estate transactions. No base salary or hourly wage is provided. Based on historical production of active agents, annual gross commission income typically ranges from $75,000 to $200,000+, depending on experience, market conditions, and individual performance. Commission splits and brokerage fees vary.
