Position: Catering Operations
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
-Supervise the daily operation of the banquet area (order and maintain supplies, review set-up, and food and beverage preparation and service) to ensure compliance with Company procedures, banquet event orders, and safety regulations.
-Ensure optimal levels of service, quality, and hospitality.
-Meet with customers to review and address changes, issues and/or problems to ensure delivery of a quality product; prepare necessary files and worksheets for event.
-Monitor and control the maintenance of the banquet areas and equipment to protect the assets and ensure quality service.
-Supervise and direct the banquet associates including captains, servers, wait staff, etc.
-Interview, hiring, schedule, train, develop, empower, and coach banquet staff.
-Assist in the book and paperwork preparation of parties (meet...book...contract).
-Assist in banquet sales.
-Position breakdown: 75% Operation responsibilities/25% Administrative.

Qualifications:
-Required to have at least two (2) years experience in a banquet management environment as a MAITRE D'
-Strong F&B background
-Assertive and driven to ensure all tasks are completed
-Proven track record for supervising a team
-Proven performance for achieving excellent customer service
-Ability to oversee hiring, training, scheduling, employee issues, and terminations
-Good communicator, well organized, and detail oriented.
-Flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays; able to work on an event-driven schedule
-Basic computer skills
-Must be able to work independently as well as follow given instructions
