Job description

Description Chief Systems Analyst Cyber & Infrastructure Examples of Duties Under general direction, is responsible for major sections of systems development, analysis and definition, systems and program specifications, and documentation of programs and systems. Designs, develops, implements and maintains application software which supports complex business applications. Participates in the design of new computer systems, modification of existing systems, feasability studies, analysis of business issues.

Works with Technical Services (DBAs, Networking, Hardware Support), customers, and user groups. Defines system support needs and develops system requirements. Participates in the design and architecture of complex systems with database application and web components.

Prepares training manuals related to information systems. Supervises staff analyst. Performs other job-related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Engineering or closely related field from an accredited four (4) year college or university required. Five (5) years of full-time paid experience in information processing, at least three (3) of which must include systems analysis in addition to programming, required. Must have a knowledge of information processing including systems analysis and programming techniques.

Certification in Novell and NT is preferred. In addition, one (1) year of supervisory experience required. (Substitution: Two (2) years of any equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be substituted for each year of college education lacking.) Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

Valid State of Ohio Driver's License required. Supplemental Information Preferred Requirements: 5+ years' experience in Information Security and IT Risk Management, with strong understanding of security and authentication protocols. Current Advanced IT Security Certifications (Palo and Microsoft) Strong working knowledge with the following technologies: Microsoft Security Suite (Sentinel, Entra, Purview, Intune, Defender Threat Intelligence), Palo Alto Security Suite, CyberArk The City's guiding principles are as follows: Placing Clevelanders at the Center, Empowering Employees to Do Purposeful Work, Defining Clear and Pragmatic Objectives, Leading with Trust and Transparency, Striving for Equity in All We Do, and Embracing Change.
