Job description

The Air Force Civilian Service is looking for your skills and talents to join our team supporting the United States Air Force.
The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for full-time Computer Engineer (Supervisory) position, GS-15 at McDill AFB in Tampa, FL.
This is an interdisciplinary position and may be filled by qualified candidates in the following occupations: Supervisory Computer Engineer, GS-0854-15; Supervisory Electronics Engineer, GS-0855-15; Supervisory Operations Research Analyst, GS-1515-15; and Supervisory Computer Scientist GS-1550-15.
Qualifications/Requirements:
U.S. Citizenships Required.
This is a designated Drug Testing Position.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance.
Must have a bachelor's degree in a related discipline such as computer or electronics engineering, computer science, or mathematics. A master's degree in a technical related field is highly desired.
This is a Mission Essential and Key Position; Active Guard and Reserve personnel may not be considered. Personnel on Ready Reserve status must be removed from status.
Previous government or private sector experience with research, development and delivery of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Data Science initiatives is highly desired.
Professional knowledge and mastery of a broad range of engineering, mathematics, statistical analysis, modeling/simulation, and/or other scientific concepts, principles, standards, methods, techniques, practices, and procedures.
Knowledge of agency, AF, DoD and national-level doctrine, regulations, policies, guidelines, requirements, and initiatives related to assigned program(s) and/or project(s).
Ability to effectively organize and analyze information; produce authoritative reports, position papers, and briefings that are responsive to the specific needs of commanders and senior management officials; present clear and concise findings; and effectively advocate for a position.
Skill, judgment, resourcefulness, originality, and ability to foresee the impact of changing technology and in applying analytical and evaluative techniques to identify, investigate, and resolve complex issues or problems.
Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources.
