Job description

About the role:

As an Application Development intern, you will support the development, testing, and maintenance of enterprise applications used across Westinghouse. You will work with the Cranberry-based team and collaborating with other team members in Poland and Spain. You will gain exposure to Agile delivery and SDLC best practices, including object-oriented development and HTTP-based APIs, while building foundational skills across the application and data layers.

You will report to the Application Development Supervisor and be located at our Cranberry facility. This is a paid full-time hybrid position for the summer, May - August 2027.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Help develop and testing enterprise application enhancements
  • You will translate requirements into well-defined technical tasks and working software
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and follow SDLC practices
  • Build and update REST/HTTP APIs and application logic
  • Help diagnose defects and document fixes
Qualifications:
  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science
  • Completed Sophomore year of college
  • Write HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Experience with Object-oriented Programming
