Senior Computer Scientist: Lead the Code Behind Our Newest Warfighting Capabilities!
Are you a senior computer scientist ready to apply your technical mastery to the front lines of defense innovation? The Execution Branch is seeking a premier Subject Matter Expert (SME) to take on technical project execution and operational responsibility.
In this high-impact, working-level expert role, you will be the organization's go-to technical authority. You will provide the computer science expertise, project oversight, and technical leadership necessary to ensure the success of our most critical programs, delivering leading-edge, customer-focused Agile software development that powers the Department of the Air Force's newest war-winning capabilities.
What You Will Accomplish:
As a senior technical authority within the Execution Branch, your daily focus will be on solving complex software challenges and guiding project execution. You will:
- Serve as the Technical Authority: Act as the organization's premier computer science expert, providing the advanced technical vision and project execution strategies necessary to guarantee program success.
- Guide and Evaluate Engineering Designs: Oversee multiple critical phases of the software development lifecycle, serving as a senior technical reviewer to guide, evaluate, and elevate the design activities of other engineers.
- Drive Agile Software Excellence: Architect and develop leading-edge, customer-focused software solutions utilizing modern, highly agile development methodologies.
- Manage Project Execution: Take hands-on operational responsibility for computer science assignments, masterfully balancing technical risk, development schedules, and project milestones.
- Deliver War-Winning Capabilities: Directly contribute to the design, coding, testing, and deployment of critical software solutions that give our warfighters a decisive, uncompromised technological advantage.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Obtain & maintain a Secret security clearance
- Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft
- May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours
- Designated as a Non-Critical Acquisition Position and is covered by the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP)
- Drug testing designated position
-Obtain and maintain Cyberspace certification

Knowledge of the theories, concepts, principles, practices, standards, methods, techniques, and materials of professional computer science, and knowledge of other technical disciplines to effectively apply computer software, software systems and computer hardware architectural theories, principles, and concepts to areas of responsibility.
2. Knowledge of the principles of planning, program management, and standard acquisition regulations,
practices, and procedures.
3. Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures.
4. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an
organization.
5. Ability to research, evaluate, interpret, and apply rules, regulations, and procedures to a variety of situations and to recommend timely and economical solutions.
