Position Overview

Reporting to the IT Manager, you will help ensure that our employees have the technology, systems, and support needed to perform at their best. You will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, deploy andmaintaintechnology solutions, support cybersecurity and compliance initiatives, andassistwith infrastructure projects. This role provides hands-on experience across multiple areas of IT, including Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, networking, virtualization, cybersecurity, and manufacturing technologies. Basic Background Requirements

  • 3+yearsof experience in IT support, systems administration, or infrastructure support roles
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field-or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and OSI network concepts
  • Experience with Microsoft technologies such as Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, Windows 11, and PowerShell
  • Cloud Infrastructure experience, preferably in Microsoft 365 & Azure
  • Experience supporting virtualization technologies (VMware preferred) and SAN/NAS storage environments
  • Experience administering and supporting Windows Server environments
  • Basic SQL database administration and query experience
  • Creative problem solver with strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
  • Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset

Key Performance Objectives

Short Term: (0 to 3 months)

  • Learn about Kimball Vision and Guiding Principles and apply them in daily interactions and decision-making.
  • Learn the quality system, manufacturing processes, and IT environment.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders and end users.
  • Become familiar with IT procedures and support workflows.

Midterm: (3 to 6 months)

  • Independently resolvecommon supportand infrastructure issues
  • Support cybersecurity, patching, and technology refresh activities
  • Contribute to IT improvement initiatives

Long Term: 6-12 months +

  • Operate effectively with minimal supervision
  • Take ownership of assigned technologies and projects
  • Recommend improvements that enhance efficiency, security, and user experience

A Typical Day Might Include

  • Assistingwith user onboarding, account provisioning, and access management
  • Supporting end users with hardware and software issues
  • Deploying and configuring Windows devices
  • Managing Microsoft 365 accounts and permissions
  • Assistingwith cybersecurity and patch management activities
  • Participating in continuous improvement projects
  • Working with vendors and internal stakeholders
