MSRC is seeking a full-time HWIL Engineer to join a team of engineers and technicians who perform missile guidance integration and testing for Army missile programs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop real-time missile simulations for guidance integration HWIL testing.
- Develop real-time interfaces between the simulation and missile guidance section hardware.
- Develop real-time interfaces between the simulation and HWIL facility test equipment (flight motion simulators, target simulators, and GPS simulators).
- Integrate missile subsystem models with the 6DOF simulation including aerodynamics, seeker, inertial sensor, flight code, and actuator models.
- Perform HWIL tests and document test results.
- Perform Monte Carlo simulation analysis and compare with HWIL simulation results.
- Design open-loop and closed-loop HWIL test configurations.
- Develop HWIL test plans and timing diagrams.
Education:
- Candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university. Master’s degree is desired.
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience performing 6-DOF simulation and/or HWIL testing.
- Demonstrated experience with C++ programming in a Linux environment.
Additional Requirements:
- Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Candidate must currently possess and be able to maintain an active security clearance.
