KēSTA I.T. is actively seeking multiple mid-level Data Scientists for immediate full-time opportunities with our industry leading client.

Are you on the lookout for a unique career opportunity that offers leadership, responsibility, and the chance to make a significant impact? If you're eager to contribute to a thriving and stable organization while maintaining your confidentiality, continue reading.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to help solve complex, data-driven challenges within the healthcare space. This role focuses on applying machine learning and predictive modeling techniques to improve operational performance and decision-making.

You will be part of a broader data science function, partnering closely with product, engineering, and operational teams to analyze data, run experiments, and expand the use of advanced analytics across a portfolio of solutions. The goal is to translate data into actionable insights that drive measurable outcomes for healthcare organizations.

This role is ideal for someone who can independently navigate problem-solving, pays close attention to detail, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Exposure to healthcare revenue cycle processes is highly valuable.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with data science peers, engineering, product, and operations teams to design, test, and deploy machine learning models that deliver operational impact
  • Partner with engineering teams to acquire, clean, and structure data, and embed analytics-driven functionality into product features
  • Explore and develop new applications of machine learning within healthcare use cases, producing data-backed insights to inform product strategy
  • Translate real-world business and healthcare challenges into mathematical and statistical frameworks
  • Work cross-functionally with product, marketing, and commercial teams to incorporate customer feedback and support broader business objectives
  • Perform exploratory data analysis, generate hypotheses aligned to business goals, test models, and scale solutions across large datasets while validating performance
  • Clearly organize and communicate findings, insights, and root causes to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Solid understanding of statistical analysis and machine learning techniques, including classification, regression, clustering, dimensionality reduction, and multivariate methods
  • Experience evaluating model performance using techniques such as cross-validation, holdout validation, and related methodologies
  • Proficiency in predictive modeling using Python and/or R
  • Experience working with relational databases (e.g., SQL-based systems)

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to quickly learn new concepts and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders across technical and business functions
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous or evolving problem spaces where adaptability is critical
  • Effective interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Proficiency with standard business tools (e.g., Microsoft Office or equivalent)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field

Preferred:

  • Experience or exposure to healthcare systems, business operations, or revenue cycle workflows
  • Interest in or familiarity with medical informatics
