The Georgia Department of Public Safety (DPS) oversees the day-to-day operation of the Georgia State Patrol (GSP), Capitol Police and the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division (CVE). We currently have an opening for aComplianceSpecialist1in theRide Share Program (RegulatoryComplianceUnit) of the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division.

The RegulatoryComplianceSection is responsible for the enforcement of provisions regarding the issuance of Certificates and Permits of Operations for the following programs:Non-Consensual Towing, Vehicle Immobilization (Booting), Limousine and Passenger Carriers, Household Good Carriers and Transportation Network Companies & Taxi Services.The RegulatoryComplianceSection also handles the enforcement of safetyinspection in conjunction with Commercial Vehicle Officers for passenger carrier vehicles as required by the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division. In addition, the RegulatoryComplianceSection is responsible for the enforcement of the Commercial indemnity and liability insurance for all commercial motor vehicles as provided by each program.

Critical Responsibilities:

  • Apply complex program laws, rules, and regulations

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proficient Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Skills
  • Excellent writing skills

Selected applicant must pass a pre-employment background investigation. This includes a review of criminal, driver's and credit history. No polygraph examination is required for this position.

Minimum Qualifications:
