POSITION PURPOSE
The Senior Software Engineer is a highly skilled technical leader responsible for the design, development, integration, and support of enterprise software solutions that enable OCI strategic business initiatives. This role combines deep technical expertise with strong business acumen to deliver scalable, reliable, and secure software applications across multiple business units.
The ideal candidate possesses advanced software engineering experience, strong architectural design capabilities, and a passion for developing innovative solutions that improve operational efficiency and business outcomes. In addition to hands-on development, this position serves as a mentor to other engineers and helps establish best practices across the software development lifecycle.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Software Design & Development
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade software applications and integrations.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Develop APIs, services, workflows, and user-facing applications that support critical business processes.
  • Create clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following established development standards.
  • Participate in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

Solution Architecture
  • Design application architectures that prioritize scalability, maintainability, performance, and security.
  • Evaluate technologies and frameworks to support business objectives.
  • Assist in establishing development standards, architecture patterns, and technical governance.
  • Identify opportunities to modernize legacy applications and processes.

Enterprise Integration
  • Build and maintain integrations between internal and external systems, including ERP, CRM, EDI, data platforms, and third-party applications.
  • Design robust data exchange solutions utilizing APIs, event-driven architectures, and automation platforms.
  • Support enterprise initiatives involving Microsoft technologies, cloud platforms, and AI-enabled business solutions.

Technical Leadership
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to software engineers and technical team members.
  • Conduct code reviews and promote engineering best practices.
  • Lead technical discussions and contribute to architectural decision-making.
  • Support project estimation, planning, and prioritization activities.

Collaboration & Business Partnership
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand operational challenges and translate them into technology solutions.
  • Partner with Project Management, Infrastructure, Data Engineering, Security, and Business Systems teams.
  • Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Continuous Improvement
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions.
  • Contribute to DevOps, automation, quality assurance, and development process improvements.
  • Support AI, analytics, and digital transformation initiatives across OCI companies.
  • Champion security, compliance, and reliability best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.

Experience
  • 7+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Demonstrated success delivering enterprise applications in a complex business environment.
  • Experience leading technical projects and mentoring developers.
  • Experience integrating business systems and working with cross-functional stakeholders.

Technical Skills
  • Strong experience with several of the following: C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core; JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, or similar frameworks
  • REST APIs and microservices architecture
  • SQL Server and relational database design
  • Azure cloud services and modern application platforms
  • Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices; API integrations and middleware solutions
  • Power Platform and Microsoft 365 development
  • AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering practices
  • Security, authentication, and authorization frameworks.
