Java Cloud-Native Developer (AWS/GCP/Azure)
Location: Alpharetta, GA (willing to travel to client locations)
Employment Type: Full-Time (W2)
Role Overview
We are seeking a proficient Java Cloud-Native Developer to build and deploy scalable, cloud-native applications using Java and Spring Boot on AWS, GCP, or Azure. This role focuses on leveraging microservices and containerized environments to deliver resilient, future-ready solutions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop cloud-native Java applications using Spring Boot, focusing on microservices architectures.
  • Deploy and manage applications on AWS, GCP, or Azure using containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Implement RESTful APIs and event-driven systems to support distributed, scalable workloads.
  • Optimize applications for performance, cost-efficiency, and reliability in cloud-native environments.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI.
  • Ensure security and compliance best practices in cloud deployments and microservices design.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3 years of experience in Java development with Spring Boot, focusing on cloud-native applications.
  • Proficiency in building microservices and deploying them in containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and their native services for application hosting.
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs and event-driven architectures in cloud ecosystems.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with advanced cloud-native tools like AWS EKS, GCP GKE, or Azure AKS for Kubernetes orchestration.
  • Exposure to serverless architectures using AWS Lambda, GCP Cloud Functions, or Azure Functions.
