Job description

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Embark on a rewarding contract assignment as an Occupational Therapist supporting students from Pre-K through 12th grade in the scenic area near Clam Gulch, AK. This opportunity is ideal for professionals eager to use their expertise in a school-based environment, making a meaningful difference across a diverse caseload.

As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide evaluation, intervention, and support services to help students reach their fullest potential. You’ll collaborate with educators and families to foster accessibility and success in the classroom and beyond.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current Alaska OT license or eligibility to obtain
  • Alaska Educator Certification or eligibility
  • Experience serving school-age populations (Pre-K through 12th grade preferred)
  • Strong communication, documentation, and collaborative skills
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and student-centered care

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct therapy and consultative services to assigned students
  • Develop and implement IEP goals and therapy plans in coordination with school teams
  • Assess, document, and monitor student progress
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to educational planning
  • Offer training and support to staff and families to facilitate carryover of therapeutic strategies

Position Details:

  • Full-time, contract position: 7.5 paid hours per day (8-hour days with a 30-minute unpaid lunch), 5 days per week
  • Estimated caseload of up to 40 students, depending on building assignments
  • Assignment runs from 8/17/2026 to 5/21/2027
