Job description

Internal Medicine Physician – Outpatient Practice
Prime Healthcare Illinois Medical Group – Plainfield, IL (Chicago suburb)
Position Overview:
Prime Healthcare Illinois Medical Group is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Internal Medicine Physician to join our established outpatient practice located in Plainfield, Illinois. This is a full-time, employed position with a focus on providing high-quality, compassionate care to a diverse patient population in a collaborative, supportive environment.

Position Information:

  • Setting: 100% outpatient
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, daytime hours, 36 patient-facing hours/wk., 4 hours admin
  • No inpatient or hospital call responsibilities
  • Average patient load: 18-25 patients per day
  • Support staff: Experienced clinical and administrative team
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Epic
  • Salary: $275,000 - $300,000 + productivity incentives

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive adult primary care, including preventive health screenings, management of chronic conditions, acute illness evaluation, and geriatric care.
  • Perform in-office procedures such as EKGs, joint aspirations, skin biopsies, and routine wellness exams.
  • Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams, including behavioral health, nutrition, and specialists for optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality initiatives, population health efforts, and potential value-based care programs.
  • Maintain accurate EMR documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Internal Medicine.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine.
  • Active or eligible for Illinois medical licensure.
  • Compassionate approach with strong communication skills and a commitment to evidence-based, patient-first care.

Prime Healthcare Illinois Medical Group offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs. Our Total Rewards package includes, but is not limited to, paid time off, a 401K retirement plan, medical, dental, and vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and many more voluntary benefit options. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $275,000-$300,000. on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
