Oil & Gas Production / Regulatory Reporting Specialist Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Production / Regulatory Reporting Specialist to join our growing team. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate production and regulatory reporting, severance tax reporting, and compliance with state and federal regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of upstream oil and gas production reporting, and industry regulations.
Oil & Gas Production / Regulatory Reporting Specialist Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Production Reporting for operated and non-operated properties.
  • Calculate, file, and reconcile Severance Taxes in accordance with state requirements.
  • Prepare and submit State and Federal Royalty Reports, including compliance with University Lands, Office of Natural Resources Revenue (ONRR), and other applicable agencies.
  • Complete and file State Production Reports accurately and on time.
  • Monitor and reconcile Oil and Gas Balancing, including production imbalances and partner allocations.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Research and resolve production, revenue, royalty, and reporting discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with land, operations, engineering, marketing, and accounting personnel to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing supporting documentation and explanations.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Position Requirements
Oil & Gas Production / Regulatory Reporting Specialist Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in upstream oil and gas production reporting.
  • Working knowledge of production accounting, royalty accounting, severance taxes, and regulatory reporting. Wolfepak/PakEnergy experience preferred.
  • Experience with state and federal reporting agencies, including ONRR and applicable state oil and gas commissions.
  • Strong understanding of oil and gas balancing principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet reporting deadlines.
