Job description


The Cage Cashier position will finalize cash payments to customers from inside a secure cage on the casino floor and interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner. In addition, cashiers will distribute monies to gaming guests via check cashing, conversion of coins, and tokens into currency.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the makeup and verification of bankrolls for all money-handling departments.
  • Maintains and is held accountable for all funds that are handled on an assigned shift. Provides prompt, friendly and courteous service to all guests.
  • Cashes checks, converts gaming checks, tokens and coin for gaming guests.
  • Supplies currency, coin and gaming checks to other departments as needed.
  • Makes credit inquiries, performs credit and other related functions necessary to process new check cashing applications.
  • Performs all transactions with guests in a confidential manner.
  • Creates teamwork by helping co-workers with essential functions. Adheres to compliance of all gaming regulations and requirements of any other governmental agencies where applicable.
  • Acts as a role model and always presents oneself as a credit to Caesars and encourages others to do the same.
  • Must be able to meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned that would be applicable to the position. Demonstrates Caesars Spotlight 5 behaviors: Initiates Friendly Greeting, Smiles and Makes Eye Contact, Demonstrates Upbeat and Positive Attitude, Checks for Satisfaction, and Provides a Warm Farewell.

Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
  • Previous money-handling experience and a proven proficiency with computers and 10 key adding machine is required.
  • Must be able to enter data, read and interpret output from a computer.
  • Must have good math abilities.
  • Must have excellent human relations skills.
  • Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
  • Must present a well-groomed appearance.

A FEW MORE THINGS:
  • Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
  • Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working in assigned areas, and must be able to stand for entire length of shift.
  • Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, including a 10 key adding machine, PC computers, fax machine and photocopier.
  • Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
