About this Role
In this full time Bank Teller role, you will provide accurate, efficient, and courteous service while processing a variety of routine financial transactions. This position is focused on cash handling, transaction processing, and maintaining the security and accuracy of teller operations. You must be detail-oriented, dependable, and able to follow established bank policies and procedures while delivering a high level of customer service.
In this Role You Will:
Transaction Processing: Process routine teller transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, payments, and other basic banking transactions.
Cash Handling and Balancing: Manage an assigned cash drawer responsibly, handle currency and coin accurately, and balance teller transactions in accordance with bank standards and procedures.
Customer Service: Provide professional, courteous, and timely service to clients at the teller line by responding to routine questions, addressing transaction-related concerns, and ensuring a positive branch experience.
Operational Compliance and Security: Follow all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements; protect customer information; identify potentially suspicious or fraudulent activity; and escalate issues appropriately.
Team and Branch Support: Support day-to-day branch operations and complete other teller-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Competencies, and Skills
Education: High school diploma or GED required.
Experience: At least one year of cash handling, customer service, retail, or banking experience preferred. Prior bank teller experience is strongly preferred.
Cash Handling Accuracy: Demonstrated ability to handle cash accurately and maintain balancing standards.
Transaction Processing: Ability to process routine financial transactions with speed, accuracy, and attention to detail.

First Bank generally does not hire at or near the top of the stated range. The range is driven by the geographic location of the anticipated hiring location; however, the specific range may vary depending on the geographic location for remote positions. Compensation decisions depend on the specific facts and circumstances of each hiring instance.
A reasonable estimate of the current pay range is $15.50 - $19.00 per hour
