Registered Nurse RN Anticoagulation Clinic - West Bloomfield - Medical Office Building off Farmington Rd. 

Full Time - 40 hours, Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4pm - no weekends/holidays

Responsibilities Include:  Under the delegated authority of the responsible anticoagulation physician, this position involves working with pharmacists and nurses to provide patient education and management of anticoagulation therapy via telephone encounters.

Candidate Preferences: 5 yrs Ambulatory/acute Care.  Minimum of 5 years experience working as a Registered Nurse in Internal Medicine/Family Medicine, Cardiology, Pulmonology, or Hematology/Oncology.  Anticoagulation therapy management experience preferred. Candidate should have strong written and oral communication skills, critical thinking skills and experience with patient education. 

GENERAL SUMMARY: Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates with the health care team. Demonstrates clinical competence. May require a professional certification which is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard for the position, works independently and in collaboration with principal investigator when appropriate.

 EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Successful completion of Henry Ford Ambulatory orientation. Maintains and demonstrates current clinical knowledge in area of specialty. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and medical group personnel. Preferred experience in the specialty. Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills. 

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. Current BLS or ACLS per Henry Ford Health policy. Certification will be required when it is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard, i.e., Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN).
