Overview

Steinhafels is currently recruiting for an associate to lead our furniture warehouse and retail store backroom.  This position holds the overall responsibility for leading the team and participating in efficiently moving furniture to the showroom floor, as well as unboxing, assembling, and re-boxing a wide variety of furniture. The role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a strong focus on customer service.

Responsibilities

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Furniture Assembly & Construction: Lead and participate in assembling furniture, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
  • Furniture Movement & Workflow: Organize and actively assist in moving furniture to the showroom floor, ensuring efficiency and safety.
  • Customer Assistance: Oversee and assist with merchandise pick-up, providing excellent customer service.
  • Inventory Management: Track and maintain accurate inventory records, ensuring proper handling of discrepancies and damages.
  • Unboxing & Re-boxing: Supervise and participate in unboxing, assembling, and re-boxing furniture for display or storage.
  • Showroom Organization: Lead and contribute to the organization and display of furniture, ensuring a safe and appealing showroom.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure the team follows safety protocols and provide hands-on training for proper lifting and tool use.
Qualifications
  • Self-Motivated: Must be proactive, able to work independently, and demonstrate initiative with minimal supervision.
  • Power Tool Proficiency: Must have the ability to safely and effectively use various power tools for furniture assembly.
  • Reliability: Strong attendance and punctuality are essential to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to pass a 75lb physical lift test prior to employment, demonstrating the ability to lift and handle heavy furniture items.
  • Schedule Flexibility: Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
