Job Title: Gluing Catcher/FeederCompany Information:

Role Summary: The Catcher/Feeder supports the operation of printing, converting and/or packaging equipment by safely and efficiently feeding raw materials or components into the machines. Catching, stacking, inspecting and packaging finished product at the delivery end. This role involves standing for extended periods, repetitive motion, and regularly lifting materials in a production environment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Load, align, and feed sheets or other raw materials into converting equipment according to job ticket and work instructions.
  • Feed sheets, blanks, or materials continuously and at proper speed to maintain production rates and quality standards.
  • Monitor stock levels at the feeder and communicate with the operator or material handler when replenishment is needed.
  • Monitor feeder for jams, doublefeeding, skewing, or misalignment and notify the operator or stop the machine as required by safety procedures.
  • Catch, align, jog, and stack finished pieces coming off the machine, ensuring bundles, stacks, or cartons meet count and quality requirements.
  • Perform basic visual inspection (e.g., registration, color/print defects, diecut accuracy, gluing integrity, product damage) and remove obvious nonconforming product.
  • Follow quality control instructions (e.g., labeling, tags, tickets, barcodes) and place inspected products in designated locations.
  • Package finished goods (banding, boxing, palletizing) according to job ticket, customer requirements, and internal work instructions.
  • Apply appropriate labels, barcodes, skid tickets, and documentation to pallets or cartons.
  • Additional Duties
  • Maintain housekeeping in and around gluers
  • Ability to perform sorting of nonconforming products
  • Perform preventive maintenance as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Safety Policies and Practices:
  • Follow all Plant rules, Processes, and Hygiene procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods.
  • All employees are required to wear safety glasses and steel toe shoes while in the manufacturing area. Sound protection is required in designated areas.
  • Keep work area clean and organized: remove scrap, sweep, and maintain clear walkways in accordance with housekeeping standards.
  • Qualifications

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must have mechanical skills, be accurate and precise, ability to use ruler, able to lift 50 lbs. or less, and be a problem solver. The individual must be capable of operating without direct supervision.

    Must be able to understand, communicate, and understand directions in English as needed.

    Schedule:
  • Full time position; 1:00pm 9:30pm (2nd Shift) Mon Fri
  • Overtime, weekends, and holidays based on production needs.
  • Salary: $18.00 hour
