We are currently seeking a Full-Time Boat Sales Professional to help us deliver award-winning customer service and create a unique and memorable experience for our customers. This role will play a key part in connecting customers with the perfect boat, guiding them through the sales process, and representing the Goodhue brand with integrity and enthusiasm.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Engage all customers entering the department in a friendly and timely manner.
  • Meet with potential customers to determine their boating needs.
  • Provide information necessary to allow the customer to make an informed buying decision.
  • Maintain current product knowledge by using available resources, i.e., product brochures, Internet, and product information training meetings.
  • Maintain awareness of advertised items, current pricing structures and promotions.
  • Remain current on & adheres to all selling skills training & direction.
  • Works cooperatively with the Service Department to see that delivery to the customer is seamless.
  • Maintain complete confidentiality of all sensitive & personal information.
  • Generate and manage leads & prospects in provided Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool, specifically entering new customers, and conducting and documenting follow up activities and daily tasks with customers before and after the sale.
  • Participates in special events such as Boat Shows, etc.
  • Accurately completes all necessary paperwork required within the selling process.
  • Meet and exceed pre-determined individual monthly sales goals.
  • Maintain a clean and professional work area.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of boat sales experience, preferred.
  • Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner to customers and associates.
  • Team oriented.
  • Proficient phone skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Experience with Lightspeed EVO, a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Boater’s license, a must.
  • Ability to drive pontoon, bowrider and surf boats.
  • Knowledge of Mastercraft, Sylvan, Chapparal, Bennington, and Cobalt boats, a plus.
  • Must have mathematical ability to calculate percentages and discounts.

Education:

  • Minimum of High School degree or equivalent

Salary:

  • Base + Commission, based upon experience.
