 Position Overview

The Chef-Food Services reports directly to Manager, Foodand Beverage. Chef-Food Services is responsible for plan and direct of foodproduction in Food Services operation, training of staff, inventory and costcontrol, and scheduling, working directly with Food and Beverage Manager whileachieving the required outcomes with time spans of up to 1 year.

 Key Responsibilities

         Maintaina strong team of employees focused on a high level of professional service andguest satisfaction.

         Workclosely and collaboratively with Food and Beverage Manager to meet objectives,anticipate challenges, and ensure health and safety standards are adheredto. 

         Dayto day management of the kitchen operation for Eatery and catering events.Includes providing direction and leadership.

         Collectingfeedback from staff, guests and suppliers, providing input regarding ongoingplans, directions, sales goals, targets and strategies for food services. 

         Ensurethe delivery of optimal results against appropriate financial and associatedperformance metrics. Understand food costs and effective inventory controlensuring high quality and value of food products are readily available , withinbudgeted guidelines

         Maintaintargeted food costs and labor cost, ensure effective utilization of staffproductivity

         Ongoingmenu development, planning and costing for Eatery and catering events inrelation to industry trends and guest feedback.

         Ensurepersonal and team activities are aligned with business and strategic goals ofSpark as a whole.

         Modelhigh performance, flexibility and kindness in a rapidly changing growthenvironment.

         Otherduties as required and assigned.

Qualifications & Knowledge

         Aminimum of 5 years' experience in culinary, food and beverage, or relatedprofessional operation with high volume food production and banquet background

          Aminimum of 3 years' experience in a supervisory position.

         Asolid understanding of sales, budgets, labour and inventory controls.

         Anactive listener who is also a confident, articulate, concise, factual andintuitive communicator able to communicate at multiple levels as needed, bothinternally and externally.

         Abilityto maintain professionalism, control, and composure in difficult and stressfulsituations.

         Demonstratedability to organize efficient work schedules, delegate tasks and workeffectively under pressure to achieve objectives.

         Flexiblework schedule, requiring attendance to events and functions after normalbusiness hours on occasion.

         Aninspiring and compassionate leader who cultivates a culture of high performancearound them.

         Strongethics and ability to manage confidential data.

         Aproven track record of adding value to an organization's culture andinitiatives.
