Biology department Visiting Faculty (Full-Time) Biochemistry 2026-27

GENERAL INFORMATION

The Department of Biology at the College of the Holy Cross invites applications for a visiting full-time faculty position for the 2026-2027 academic year to begin in August 2026. The visiting faculty member will teach three courses each semester: two sections of Biochemistry 1 and one section of a non-majors biology course in Fall 2026, Biochemistry 2 and associated lab as well as one section of introductory cell and molecular biology in the spring 2027.

Visiting full-time faculty are eligible to apply for support to present at a conference or attend a professional development program through theProvost's Supplemental Research Fund.The College will support reimbursement of relocation costs within its published policies. The College offers full benefits and a salary of $70,000.

The College will not support H-1B visa applications that require the $100,000 employer fee.

QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates must demonstrate commitment to, and excellence in, undergraduate teaching and inclusive pedagogies as informed by current practice and scholarship in the field. A Ph.D. in biology or related fields is preferred but ABD candidates in such fields will be considered.
