Cucina 38 (15 mins from Providence) is seeking a skilled and experienced bartender/server, well-versed in all aspects of restaurant and bar service with a good foundational knowledge of spirits, for their upscale, neighborhood Northern Italian eatery. We are a fast paced, detail and quality-oriented restaurant, fully invested in our team to provide hospitality that exceeds expectations. The position demands a fun and dynamic individual who adeptly problem solves and can easily change environments with different pressures, requirements, and expectations of service. We are looking for someone who thrives on the opportunity to create awesome experiences, and someone who wants to grow their skill set and expertise.  Our bartenders and servers show professionalism with menu and beverage knowledge, passion for the food industry and superior service. Bartenders and servers are expected to be punctual and professional.  Your skills and experience in the hospitality industry will ensure that service runs smoothly and guests have a memorable dining experience. The ideal candidate is energetic, customer-service oriented, and is passionate about food, wine, and the art of hospitality!  

Responsibilities 
  • Exemplify Cucina 38 standards, vision and mission
  • Accurately take food and beverage orders and enter into POS.
  • Suggest wines and cocktails based on guest's preferences
  • Prepare cocktails and bring knowledge and passion to exploring new menu items
  • Perform station opening /closing duties each shift.
  • Oversee cleaning and maintenance of the restaurant.
  • Greet guests within 30 seconds of Guest sitting.
  • Menu and ingredient knowledge, explain menu, offer suggestions of food and wine, cocktails
  • Adhere to safety, sanitation regulations is a must
  • Order, maintain, and restock inventory of bar supplies and ingredients
  • Perform duties associated with opening and closing the bar, including cleaning and mopping
Qualifications
  • Must be genuinely passionate about hospitality and the overall guest experience
  • Must have 3+ years or more restaurant server/bartending experience, fine dining preferred
  • Good communicator – both with co-workers and guests
  • Have a working knowledge of Italian food, wine and spirits
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Knowledge of principles for dealing directly with the public
  • Must be available weekend and weeknights
