Cladding Drafting Technician

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Cladding Drafting Technician to join our dynamic team and contribute to the production of high-quality shop and fabrication drawings. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about precision in design and construction.

What You'll Do

  • Draft and develop detailed shop drawings for a variety of cladding systems for approval, in-house fabrication and field installation both in metric and/or imperial
  • Draft and develop complex fabrication models based on point cloud data (3D laser scanning) to verify accuracy in production
  • Generate comprehensive Bill of Materials (BOM) for various cladding components for production
  • Collaborate closely with teams to ensure seamless project execution and maintain communication throughout project lifecycles
  • Review project specifications, drawings, estimates, and existing dialogues to ensure the accuracy of systems to be developed in the shop drawings
  • Utilize Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD 2D and 3D modelling, and Recap PRO to create precise technical drawings and BIM models that align with project requirements. Inventor (an asset)
  • Work closely with the drafting team to meet project deadlines and maintain efficiency
  • Ensure technical accuracy, clarity, and efficiency in all drawings by reviewing project specifications, drawings, existing dialogues, and current products.
  • Identify and correct any discrepancies or errors in design and documentation
  • Maintain organized collaboration with existing drawings and databases


What You Bring to the Team

  • Strong knowledge of building envelope systems and cladding systems
  • Ability to read, interpret, and produce detailed construction drawings accurately
  • Hands-on drafting experience in a construction-related environment
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD 2D and 3D modelling, Recap PRO. Inventor (an asset)
  • Understanding of 3D laser scanning technology and interpretation of scans (an asset)
  • Experience in building construction; relevant certifications or educational background are required
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively
  • A proactive mindset-initiative to take ownership of tasks, ask questions, and drive projects forward

Role Snapshot

Location: Head Office - 6675 Rexwood Rd, Mississauga, ON
Job Type: Permanent | Full-Time | Onsite
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Salary: $60,000
Pay Schedule: Paid bi-weekly, every second Friday
