Job description

Director of Visual Arts Education

Full Time

Salary Range:$58,000.00 To $65,000.00 Annually

Join a workplace that invests in you and connects you to a creative community.

This is not a traditional teaching role. As a Director of Education, you will lead a team of dedicated art teachers —building a team, shaping culture, and creating exceptional experiences for students and families.

What you’ll do:
        • Teach Art & Digital Design
Lead weekly art and digital design classes, as well as summer camps, working across a range of ages, media, and skill levels.

        • Support Student Growth
Help students thrive in the studio and digital lab by engaging closely with them and their teachers—observing progress, celebrating milestones, and identifying opportunities for growth.

        • Build Meaningful Relationships
Stay connected with students and families through thoughtful check-ins, clear communication about progress, flexible makeup scheduling, and conversations about next steps in their creative journey.

        • Bring the Curriculum to Life
Ensure lessons are prepared and delivered with care, following the One River Method while contributing creatively to lesson development and evolution.

        • Care for the Studio
Keep the studio and digital lab running beautifully by ordering and restocking supplies, organizing materials and student work, and maintaining a clean, welcoming creative environment.

        • Create & Celebrate Exhibitions
Collect, curate, and install student and community exhibitions, and help bring openings, receptions, and special events to life.
