Dual Credit High School Math Including Pre-Calculus and Calculus Teacher

Position: High School Mathematics Teacher – Dual Credit Pre-Calculus and Calculus

Location: North Central Junior/Senior High School, Farmersburg, Indiana

Reports To: High School Principal

Position Type: Full-Time, 180-Day Certified Teaching Position

Start Date: August 12, 2026


Position Summary

Northeast School Corporation is seeking an outstanding mathematics educator to teach Dual Credit Pre-Calculus and Calculus courses at the high school level. The successful candidate will provide rigorous, student-centered instruction that prepares students for success in college-level mathematics, and lifelong learning.

The teacher will deliver curriculum aligned with the Indiana Academic Standards and the requirements of the district’s dual credit partner(s), while fostering an engaging classroom environment that emphasizes critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving.

Essential Responsibilities

· Teach Dual Credit Pre-Calculus and Calculus in accordance with the curriculum and standards established by the district and partnering college or university.

· Prepare daily lessons that promote conceptual understanding, mathematical reasoning, and effective communication.

· Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and technology to meet the diverse learning needs of students.

· Assess student progress using formative and summative assessments and maintain accurate grade records.

· Maintain compliance with all requirements established by the Indiana Department of Education and the partnering postsecondary institution for dual credit instruction.

· Communicate effectively with students, parents, counselors, administrators, and college representatives regarding student progress and course expectations.

· Participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), department meetings, faculty meetings, and professional development.

· Maintain a safe, respectful, and positive learning environment.

· Sponsor or support extracurricular activities as assigned.

· Perform other duties as assigned by the principal.

Required Qualifications

· Valid Indiana Secondary Teaching License with Mathematics certification.

· Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or a closely related field.

· Demonstrated knowledge of Pre-Calculus and Calculus content.

· Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.

· Ability to effectively integrate instructional technology into mathematics instruction.

Preferred Qualifications

· Master’s degree in Mathematics or a related field.

· A minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Mathematics, or other qualifications required by the district’s dual credit postsecondary partner.

· Previous experience teaching Dual Credit, Advanced Placement (AP), or college-level mathematics.

· Experience with Canvas, Google Classroom, or similar learning management systems.

· Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
